The present module is used to assess watercourses using chemical and physical parameters. This assessment is based on the water quality requirements are either those specified directly in numerical terms in Annex 2 of the Water Protection Ordinance or are obtained by converting the qualitative requirements specified in this Annex into quantitative terms (“target values”).
Recorded parameters:
Total phosphorus, orthophosphates, nitrates, nitrites, ammonium, dissolved organic carbon, DOC, pH, temperature, flow (event. estimated) to characterize the sampling station (average flow, flood and low flow), oxygen and possibly additional parameters (E.g. heavy metal, depending on the problem and ambient factors). In each case, at least 12 samples per year.
Evaluation:
Indicator values are obtained by aggregation of the chemical parameters measured for the water samples. They can then be compared with the requirements and target values in an assessment based on a 5-point scale.
