Net ecosystem production in lakes

The method developed in the project “Primary production of lakes during reoligotrophisation: a method for quantifying primary production based on routine analyses and publicly available data (trophic status)” allows to determine net ecosystem production with relatively little effort. It is based on measurements from routine monitoring programs and provides a robust measure of a lake’s trophic evolution, phosphorus balance and oxygen consumption.
